Prairie Days tells story in textiles
New Iceland Heritage Museum is proud to present Prairie Days. The collection tells the story of the artist’s experience of living in the West through a selection of charming folk art quilts. Nova Scotia textile artist Hélène Blanchet is a self-taught folk artist who specializes in colourful art quilts made by hand. A natural story-teller, Hélène brings her stories to life in the minutia of detail found in every piece. Exhibit continues until April 26, 2021.
